Happy New Year

I hope you all had a great start to 2014!  Im excited because there is sooo many new things coming up for The Docks this year, and soon The Pier Market will be open! If you want to get updates head on over to TPM’s facebook page!  Anyyyyhooo… there is almost nothing more compelling for me then Lelutka hair…so when the talented Thora put out her newest release I was of course huffy at first because naturally, I was broke! Nothing is worse for a Lelutka fan than being caught broke on new release day…only one thing that is worse and that is veggie bacon.  So after getting some money I got her new releases and had a bit of a wander around her sim.  Her formal wear is top notch and then I came across in her formal section a classy looking top with an octopus on it …yes my head asploded.  There were Scar pixels everywhere! I love nautical themed things as much as bacon, so I KNEW I had found my top for NYE.  Problem was…what to put with it? Then, small miracles, found the perfect pants at Limited Bazaar, and my day was made!  Paired it with the awesome arcade gacha PurePoison jewelry and I was unstoppable!

A Pen Skirt

The title of today’s blog post is an anagram for my wifey’s nickname.  Aptly fitting, I must say because DANG YOU INGA WIND making something I simply COULDN’T resist! Inga Wind’s latest release is named Keri, which coincidentally is my wifey’s SL display name. So fifty gazillion projects get shelved while I fiddle with cloud painting *laughs* This outfit is hella cute, I adore the zippers on the skirt and the scarf I’m a sucker for scarves maybe because I live like just a hop skip and a jump away from the abominable snowman that warm clothes are so fitting, who knows.  Everyone has a nutty story bout shopping yes? I was out hair shopping the other day and some crazy broad random im’d me about skin shops

Two things you should know…one for the most part im always in Deesses skin, I luff her stuff to DEATH.  Deesses is awesomeeee! Two, the only folks opinions that matter on my looks are those close to me so unless you are trying to get said stores ANTI business and I will assume that somehow you are working for said stores and therefore, most likely never shop at them ever again.  I find it despicable that folks spam shop lms at other places shops its just really bad  business and makes you and the shop owner you are partnered to, look like ingrates.  That said, just don’t do it…maybe by being a twit you get one or two people to come to your store, but the NEGATIVE impact is far worse, as now I tell my friends and they tell their friends and you end up LOSING business.  So ends marketing 101 for the day, class dismissed 😀

I miss you and you pop into my head from time to time.  Last time we talked was nearly 10 years ago if not longer.  I’ve come a long way in the time we have talked, and am happier now.  I think that would make you glad….but I hope that you are just as happy, but I’m not sure that is possible.  I have a few regrets, one major one being that we never met face to face.  I wonder if that would have changed how we saw each other.  You often put a smile on my face when there was none, and made me feel special when noone else did.  Maybe some of the courage I found to leave my bad situation came from you.  You followed me into the dark places in my mind and made those dark places acceptable and helped me embrace the dark parts of myself.  You named me Didyma and while I never got the whole reason I am assuming there were many…from being a gemini to also being bipolar and a lot of other reasons….You had dubbed yourself Kronos after father time…our names fit and I still love them to this day.  I doubt he’ll ever read this, but I had to give him a nod at least once he shaped who I am today in good ways.

As an aside: a very HUGE portion of all my poses come from Del May…i luffs them hardcore go check em out!  Another thing to not try as I may, my pics did not do the eye pieces from solidea folies justice you will have to take my word for it that they are beyond epic.  Also the jeans are out tomorrow @ Boho Culture Fair woot!

Well Dressed Witch

I don’t go to Diagon Alley in just ANY ole thing, you know!  I have to raise the bar high, you see I am the editor of the magazine “Well-Dressed Witch” and when I go out, I like looking my best as it is kind of in the job description. (as an aside the pic below is me doing my Michael Jackson impression and NOT the “i gotta pee” pose- my publicist is sooo getting fired for that!)  You wont catch ME at the second-hand robe shop, no sirree! The other thing Id like to make notice of is the IN hat this season for the well dressed witch is the new line by Remarkable Oblivion.  I am wearing their Twintail version, hard to get but well worth the search!

It’s not too cold for ice cream!

OK Ill admit…the nip in the air is enough for a sweater but I simply can not resist ice cream no matter WHAT the weather.  Sadly, no candied bacon ice cream, but in a pinch anything chocolatey will do!  I couldn’t be happier though, because I get to wrap myself up in new Millinery Shoppe sweaters.  They make me feel good that its fall.  I wandered around and I love the shopping area here so much I am opening a store location up at the Atooly Mall.  I was going to write a story for this post but I got sidelined by lulz on flickr.  I may write stories for posts but bottom line of my being is a truth teller.  My friends have said to me over and over one of the things they love about me is my brutal honesty, so being accused of making false statements has me laughing hysterically.  That said, if you want to see the hilarity for yourself by all means check out my flickr *here*.

A little jaunt to the ocean..

I make the trip out to the coast rarely, but I felt compelled to visit, the pull to feel the fall salt air on my face was too powerful.  I could have gone to any number of spots along the coast, but this time I chose to go to the place that had the boardwalk that went far out to an island.  It was delightful to feel the light spray on my face from time to time as I walked along the weathered planks.

I spent some time feeling the cold, damp walls of the cave on the island.  The rocky floor of the cave was a bit hard to traverse, but I managed to find some beautiful shells I decided to keep as a souvenir and reminder of my visit here.  At one point even though it was a bit damp, I leaned against the wall and closed my eyes and just let the motion of the waves dictate my breathing.  It was quite something feeling like i was making the water move with my breaths…surely you all have at one point faked waving your arm to open automatic doors…it was like that.

Of course the last thing I had to mention was this cute artisan stand I stopped at on the way…where i found these fall leave necklace to match my outfit.  They called themselves Collabor88, and the maker was Maxi Gossamer…they still have some you should definitely go pick up one for yourself!

Weekend Getaway!

Ive got an amazing life! Sometimes its hard to be apart, but when Lee got back from being on tour with his band, Picking up Pennies, he surprised me with a trip up the coast!

We started the trip in a plane and jetted up the coast of Cali…and ended up sailing on a hired boat for the weekend!  I had no idea Lee could sail! We met when I ended up being a model for one of their album covers, and have been together ever since.  He is the bassist and one of the vocals for their band and I simply loooove it when he sings to me. He tried to teach me how to do knots and some nautical terms, but admittedly I was a bit distracted by the sun reflecting off his skin…

When we got back…things became even more surreal! Lee PROPOSED! We’ll be married after he finishes his Europe tour next year…I’m so excited!

Season’s Walks

It really is hopefully thinking I would say…Im the first one to college from my family, they’ve always been involved in fishing…and I just had to experience new things.  That’s where I met him, that tall athletic guy from NYC.

I brought him home over our summer vacation… I worry that he wont understand the world I come from and why the big city both terrifies and intrigues me.  For his first night visiting i took him down to the backyard and we had a picnic and then walked around under the stars.  I was touched that my family had painted the fence and archway for his visit…they were trying so hard to make things nice for him.  We had some lovely strawberries and some of our neighbors homemade cheese.. I just hope he can keep up with my brothers when they take him out fishing tomorrow! Fingers crossed!

Seasons Change…

..but you still bring color to my cheeks.  It felt like a decade away from you, yet was only one week.

We stood there talking til the sun went down…you caught me off guard when you pulled me back into you, and that is when I finally felt I was home.  I could feel the sigh escape my lips, the kind of sigh that is a sigh of contentment…everything that felt discombobulated falling into place neatly, and I felt all the muscles that were tense finally relax.  You look out for me and when you aren’t with me I feel like a cornered scared animal.  I smile and everything is all right with the world.

I am not a huge fan of pink…but this outfit is SO cute I just couldn’t resist picking this one.  I am also on occasion inspired to show off my lola tangos…and was thrilled this hunt item had appliers included. Facing my fears

Facing my fears has not been easy, not at all…but ever since I took the first steps in 2005 I have come a long way.

When Im feeling confident, I pick clothes that display elegance, maybe something black, and chic, but when I’ve been through a very hard bumpy patch I will gravitate towards outfits that lighten my mood, bright vibrant colors, maybe I am trying to fool all of you into thinking I am in a good mood, almost as if I was painting on a happy clown face.  At the very least, I found shoes to go with the look, and that bit drove me CRAZZZZYYY let me tell you!  I was originally shown these shoes in the brit flag print by one of my besties, keripants….and i had to buy both, even though my feet look kinda like they are swimming in them.  I have 3 foils in life…bacon, brits, and nautical in that order!  I am overwhelmed by the sheer number of fashion events going on and I almost feel like im being drawn and quartered by my desire to hit all and in trying to do so missing all.  Anyhoo: Im back from the horrible trip and best of all I AM FREE!  One last quote to leave you all with: “Remember this, that very little is needed to make a happy life” ~ Marcus Aurelius
